Electric Delivery Rates

The delivery portion of your bill includes the costs of maintaining and upgrading the grid, as well as funding for critical customer services and programs, taxes and other state and federally mandated charges. Learn what these charges fund.

Current Rates

Delivery rates change twice each year – on January 1 and July 1. Rates are subject to change at the discretion of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU).

Note: The below rates are the most common rate for residential customers. You may have a different rate. View a full list of Western Massachusetts electric rates.

Residential, Non-Heating

Rates: R1, R2*

This rate is available to all domestic uses in a single private dwelling, in an individual apartment or in a residential condominium in which the principal means of heating the premises is not provided by permanently installed electric space heating equipment.

These rates are effective January 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025

These rates are effective January 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025.
