Batteries can help your business store clean energy generated by a supplemental solar system or simply provide backup energy in case your business needs it.

We can help you offset the costs of installation by providing your business with an incentive towards the purchase of your battery storage system. Funding is limited and provided by the New Hampshire Clean Energy Fund.

To receive your incentive, you must install an eligible battery system using an approved manufacturer, and you must enroll that system in our demand response program and participate for three years.

Incentive Amounts

The incentive amount you will receive is based on the capacity of your battery. For each eligible kWh you will receive $250, up to a maximum of $10,000.

Your business will receive your incentive in the form of a check when we confirm the battery is installed, online and accepted in the program. 

The qualifying battery must have been purchased on or after October 1, 2022, to receive this incentive and is required to participate in demand response events for a minimum of three summer seasons.

Qualified battery models

In order to qualify for the enrollment incentive, your battery system must be from an approved manufacturer. Existing solar customers must have single phase service Enphase solar inverters to be eligible. 

Small businesses may enroll the following Enphase eligible models: 

• IQ Battery 3 and 3T
• IQ Battery 10 and 10T
• IQ Battery 5P
