Connecticut Matching Payment Program
Bill payment assistance for qualified Connecticut customers with electric or gas service.
How it Works
The Matching Payment Program (MPP) can lower the amount you owe on energy bills. For every dollar you pay and every dollar you receive from the the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), we will subtract a dollar from the amount you owe.
You may apply for energy assistance from CEAP to get a bigger match at ct.gov/heatinghelp or through your local Community Action Agency (CAA).
Find your local CAA at 211ct.org or call 211.
Eligibility requirements
- You must be a current Eversource residential customer with electricity or natural gas
- Your household income must be at or below 60% of the estimated state median income
- Your account must have a past-due balance of $100 or more and be 60 days past due
Remember, you must continue to pay your required monthly payment amount on time each month.
